- Murat Kaptan Born in Ankara, Turkey, ’68. Graduated from METU Electrical Engineering, Northeastern MSc EE and Columbia MBA. Worked at Lehman Brothers for 15 years, as Managing Director in Private Equity. At the age of 41 decided to have a check point in life He is now spending much time with his 3-year old son Sinan and the beloved boat Dafne. Sailing background: CYA skipper license, Skippered in Med and Indian Ocean, Crossed Atlantic in ’08 ARC on Northern Child, finishing 2nd place out of 160 boats.
